# How do I add or remove rows and columns to a section?

## Discover how to customize the layout of your app on the merchant application by adding or removing rows and columns within a section.

To change the category of a section in the application editor, follow these steps:

1. In the **Application Editor**, select the section where you would like to add or remove rows and columns by clicking anywhere in the section.
2. Once the section is selected, click the **Add Column** button on the far right-hand side of the section or the **Add** **Row** button at the bottom of the section.
3. To remove a column or row, click the **Delete Column** or **Delete Row** buttons.

You can add up to three columns in a section.
