# How do I add a supporting document to an application?

## Learn how to add supporting documents to request from the customer when completing the merchant application.

To add a supporting document to an application, follow these steps:

1. Go to the **Supporting Documents** section in the application editor by scrolling to the second to last section.
2. In the **Supporting Documents** section, click **Add Supporting Document**.
3. Click the new supporting document field to open the field editor on the right-hand side panel.
4. Select the supporting document's **File Type** (Image, PDF, or Any).
5. Add a field **Key** and **Label** to the supporting document, then click **Save**.

File Type Options (and their accepted file types):

- **Any** - .jpg, .png, .pdf, .csv, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx
- **PDF** - .pdf
- **Image** - .jpg, .jpeg, .png
