# How do I add a field that exists in a dictionary?

## Discover the simple steps to include a field that already exists in a field dictionary.

To add a field that exists in a field dictionary, follow these steps:

1. In the **Application Editor**, click the **Elements** button at the top left of the page.
2. In the **Elements** page, next to the field search query, click on the dropdown menu, then select the field dictionary (Under, Custom, or PDF).
3. After selecting the chosen field dictionary, search for the field that you would like to add to the application, then click-and-drag the field into a section on the application editor.
4. After the field has been added to the application, click **Save**.
